An ‘explosion’ of posts

Now some of you may know about the explosion which happened at Empire Shopping Gallery that has just happened today (29th September). For those who don’t, you may read The Star’s article by clicking here.

Before you continue or make any first assumptions about this post, I’m not posting to ‘promote’ this incident. I’m posting to bring to light something ridiculously stupid.

I have blurred out the links to avoid any controversy. What I discovered, much to my shock, that when I Googled about the incident, I was greeted with a page filled with so many .blogspot.coms posting about the incident. While some were from reputable news agencies/sources, some turned out to be individual bloggers. Which leads me to the next question – what are they doing in this Google Search?

Blogging has become something so commonplace nowadays, it is not weird to see many bloggers on the net expressing their views and logging about their lives, their travels, etc. What incited my irritation is that most of these ‘bloggers’ are merely copying and pasting news articles from reputable news organizations and adding one or two images from Google Images!

It angers me so to see the blogging community be filled with these litter. Before you judge me by this statement, I have no intention to flame or demoralize any blogger out there. All I am stressing is that blogging quality has eroded so badly to the extent that the term ‘blogger’ has been degraded to a lowly level.

My 1000D is in the hospital once again. It’s been in the workshop before for the same reason. Going to get a 60D and using the 1000D as a backup. Haih, considering I just got the 10-22 a while back… *puts hands in empty pockets*
